Our commitment to patients
At MyDoctor, our aim is to provide patients with safe, high‑quality medical care through secure online consultations.
All online consultations are conducted to the same professional and confidentiality standards as face‑to‑face medical appointments.
Our services are designed to be safe, discreet and convenient, while ensuring appropriate clinical oversight at all times.
How our service works
When medically appropriate, and following review by one of our doctors:
- you may receive a prescription issued by post
- prescriptions can be presented at any pharmacy in Ireland
Not all conditions are suitable for online care, and prescriptions are only issued where clinically safe and appropriate.
Our medical team
All doctors providing consultations through MyDoctor:
- are registered medical practitioners
- are registered with the Irish Medical Council
Clinical services are overseen by our Medical team.
Medical technology and safety
Our online medical questionnaire is designed to support safe clinical assessment.
It is classified as a Class I medical device under EU Regulation 2017/745 (Medical Device Regulation).
This questionnaire supports — but does not replace — professional medical judgement. All clinical decisions are made by registered doctors.
Who can use this service?
Our services are available only to patients who are physically located in the Republic of Ireland at the time of consultation.
Online consultations
Completing an online consultation typically takes only a few minutes.
As with any medical appointment, your medical history and responses are a crucial part of the assessment process. To prescribe or advise safely, our doctors rely on the information you provide being:
- complete
- accurate
- honest
Providing incorrect or incomplete information may affect patient safety and could result in treatment being declined.
Medicines and prescriptions
MyDoctor is not an online pharmacy.
If a prescription is issued:
- it will be sent to you by post
- you can present it at a pharmacy of your choice in Ireland
- payment for medicines is made directly to the pharmacy
Pricing
MyDoctor is an online‑only service, allowing us to keep costs competitive.
- All prices are clearly displayed on our website
- There are no hidden fees
- Prices include postage where applicable
- Treatment prices start from €50
Refunds
If, following review, our doctors determine that treatment is not medically suitable, you will receive a full refund.
In these cases, we may recommend:
- a face‑to‑face consultation with your local GP, or
- another appropriate route of care
Delivery of prescriptions
Once your online consultation is submitted:
- it will be reviewed by a doctor
- consultations submitted on weekends or public holidays are reviewed on the next working day
Where a prescription is issued, we aim to deliver it within three working days, subject to postal services.
All correspondence and packaging are plain and discreet.

We welcome patient feedback and take all complaints seriously.
Complaints should be submitted in writing to:
